Second person charged with first-degree murder in connection to Moncton woman’s death

A second person has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Melissa Price, whose body was found in a garbage bin in Moncton, N.B., on Feb. 15.

The New Brunswick RCMP says they arrested Leandra Beaulieu, 36, in connection with the homicide of Price on Wednesday. She appeared in Moncton provincial court on Thursday and was charged with first-degree murder.

Beaulieu was remanded into custody and is scheduled to be back in court on April 9, according to police.

Officers arrested Devlin O’Blenis, 35, on March 11 and charged him with first-degree murder in connection to Price’s death. He is scheduled to return to court on April 2.

A week later, they also arrested Joshua Martin, 36, and charged him with being an accessory after the fact of murder and indignity to a human body. He is set to be back in court on April 16.

Jake Woods, who found Price’s body in a garbage bin near a walking trail on High Street, previously told CTV News Atlantic he’s relieved arrests are being made.

“I’m just kind of glad that they found somebody. That girl needs recognition. Her family needs recognition,” said Woods earlier this week.
