RCMP seeks public’s help identifying man connected to assault with a weapon in Moncton, N.B.

The Codiac Regional RCMP is searching for a man they say is connected to an assault with a weapon in Moncton, N.B.

Officers responded to a report of the assault on John Street around 5:58 a.m. on May 2, according to an RCMP news release.

“Two individuals approached a man and pointed weapons at him,” reads the release.

The victim wasn’t injured and police say the two people fled before officers arrived.

Later that day, police arrested a 19-year-old Moncton man, who was released and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 7.

Officers are now looking for the second person involved in the assault, who they describe as a man, possibly Caucasian, of average height and build.

At the time of the assault, he was wearing all black.
