The Government of New Brunswick announced the official opening of a 190-bed nursing home complex in Shediac. Maison Providence, which will be operated by Comfort Life Network, will welcome residents starting in January. The new nursing home replaces the nearby 174-bed Villa Providence. “This new, modernized nursing home is more than a building; it reflects a commitment to seniors,” said Lyne Chantal Boudreau, minister responsible for seniors. “It ensures they have the right supports at the right time, delivered by the right people who are dedicated to their comfort, dignity and well-being. I want to thank everyone involved in making this a reality.” Maison Providence includes five 30-bed homes and two 20-bed homes. The complex consists of social, living and dining spaces, as well as outdoor spaces for residents, staff and visitors.
