Moncton man charged for allegedly stealing ‘high-value’ tools, equipment from business

A man has been charged after he allegedly stole items from a business in Moncton, N.B.

Codiac Regional RCMP received a report of a break, enter, and theft at a business on Hump Yard Road on Nov. 28.

Police say high-value tools and equipment were stolen.

The RCMP received a second report of theft from the same location on Dec. 9.

The force’s investigation led officers to a property on Savoie Drive in Moncton.

Officers and police dogs executed a search warrant at the home on Dec. 11.

Police say they seized the high-value tools and equipment and a 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Ryan Shanks appeared in Moncton provincial court the next day.

He was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Shanks was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on Jan. 30, 2026.
