Man dies after motorcycle collides with moose in northeastern New Brunswick

A man has died after his motorcycle collided with a moose in Bertrand, N.B., Saturday night.

Caraquet RCMP responded to the single-vehicle collision on Route 11 around 10 p.m.

Police say the driver was taken to hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The 60-year-old man was from Scoudouc, N.B.

The Bertrand Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene.

A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office is assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing.
