A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged arson in Sussex, N.B. Sussex RCMP responded to a report of a residential fire on Post Road on Wednesday. Police say they identified a person of interest early in the investigation. Shortly after, the 24-year-old man from Sussex was located and arrested. He was remanded into custody. Drew Smith appeared in Saint John provincial court on Thursday and was charged with arson and mischief. Smith was remanded into custody and will reappear in court on Jan. 8.
