A teen from Hartin Settlement, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Meductic, N.B., on Thursday. The RCMP responded to a report of the collision involving a pickup truck and a dirt bike at the intersection of Crow Hill Drive and Temple Road around 12:56 p.m. “The driver and sole occupant of the dirt bike, a 14-year-old boy, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries,” reads a news release from the New Brunswick RCMP. Police believe the collision occurred when the driver of the dirt bike, who was travelling northbound on Crow Hill Drive, failed to stop at an intersection and collided with the truck travelling eastbound on Temple Road. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office attended the scene and are assisting in the investigation, which is ongoing. Police say an autopsy will be conducted to determine the boy’s exact cause of death. For more New Brunswick news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
