Fredericton police seize 220 grams of cocaine, 12-gauge shotgun

A 28-year-old man is facing drug and weapon charges after Fredericton police seized fentanyl, cocaine and a shotgun during a traffic stop last month.

Police say they arrested Dylan Edward Roy Horsman for operating a vehicle while impaired on Jan. 31. During the stop, they seized:

• roughly 220 grams of cocaine
• roughly 18 grams of fentanyl
• a 12-guage shotgun
• a .22-250 hunting rifle
• a .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle with loaded magazines
• assorted ammunition
• two ICE/methamphetamine pills
• roughly 75 grams of psilocybin chocolate
• roughly $4,000 in Canadian currency

Horsman, who was remanded into custody pending a future court date, was charged with:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
• possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
• possession of methamphetamine
• possession of psilocybin
• operation of a conveyance while impaired by drug
• possession of property obtained by crime
• careless use or storage of a firearm
• unauthorized possession of a firearm
• possession of an unauthorized firearm
• possession of a firearm in an unauthorized place
