Federal offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested: Saint John police

Saint John, N.B., police say a federal offender who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

A warrant was issued on May 17 for Bernard Kellar for allegedly breaching the conditions of his statutory release.

Police say Kellar is a first-time federal offender serving a two-year, one-month federal sentence for:

• robbery with violence
• assault with a weapon
• five counts of theft under $5,000
• two counts of obstructing a peace officer
• identity fraud with intent
• motor vehicle theft
• break, enter and commit theft under $5,000
• procuring/possessing/selling identity document
• failure to attend court
• theft under $5,000
• offences under the Motor Vehicle Act of New Brunswick

The Saint John Police Force said in an update Tuesday night the 36-year-old has been found and arrested.
