A list of Maritime school closures for Thursday

Nova Scotia

• Tri-County Regional Centre for Education: Due to road conditions and ongoing clean up, all schools are closed. All worksites will have a delayed opening of 10 a.m.
• Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education: All schools are closed due to weather and road conditions.
• South Shore Regional Centre for Education: All schools will be closed due to current road conditions. Worksites will have a delayed opening of 10 a.m.
• Halifax Regional Centre for Education: All schools are closed due to poor road conditions and to allow for cleanup following the winter storm.
• Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education: All schools (Cumberland County, Colchester County, Pictou County and the Municipality of East Hants) will be closed due to ongoing weather forecast and road conditions. Office and worksites will be delayed opening by two hours.
• Strait Regional Centre for Education: There is a system shutdown in effect due to weather conditions. Classes are cancelled at all schools - all schools, buildings and worksites are closed.
• Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education: All schools and worksites are closed.
• CSAP: Classes are canceled for all schools.
• Dalhousie University: Halifax and Truro campuses are delayed opening until 10 a.m.
• Saint Mary’s University will delay opening the campus until 10 a.m. to allow for snow removal.
• NSCAD: All campuses will delay opening until 10 a.m. due to the risk of unsafe travel.
• Mount Saint Vincent University: Due to significant snowfall overnight and ongoing snow clearing operations on campus, MSVU will delay opening until 10 a.m.
• St. Francis Xavier University will delay opening until 2 p.m. Classes will resume at 2:30 p.m.
• Cape Breton University: Due to inclement weather, campus is closed for the morning. The status of afternoon classes will be announced at 10 a.m.
• NSCC: Some campuses are closed, others are delayed opening until 10 a.m.

New Brunswick

• Anglophone South School District: All buses in the St Stephen Education Centre will run on a one-hour delay. Schools will open on time.
• Mount Allison University will remain closed Thursday and Friday after a “concerning message” was found at the campus earlier this week.

Prince Edward Island

• Public Schools Branch: Schools in the Bluefield, Charlottetown, Morell, Montague and Souris families are on a one-hour delay with a further update by 8 a.m.
• French Language School Board: Saint-Augustin, François-Buote and L’École La-Belle-Cloche will start their classes with an hour delay.
• Holland College: All Charlottetown and Georgetown locations are closed for the day due to inclement weather.
