Frost advisory issued in Nova Scotia

Tulips are fine with a little frost, but annuals grown in a greenhouse ...not so much!

HALIFAX -- Environment Canada is warning of frost overnight for Nova Scotia.

The weather agency issued a frost advisory on Monday for regions across the province.

Temperatures were expected to reach 20 C in some parts of the province during the day on Monday, but to drop to 2 C in some low-lying areas overnight.

Nova Scotians are advised to cover outdoor plants, as some may be damaged or destroyed by the frost.

Environment Canada says the frost is a result of light winds and clear skies.
