The maker of GoGo squeeZ is recalling two flavours of the squeezable applesauce products because of mould.

Materne Canada Inc, says the mould has been found in lots of the Apple Grape and Apple Pear flavours. The products have Best Before dates of between June 30 and July 26, 2016.

The recall was triggered by a recall in the United States, the company says.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the products have been sold in retail stores across the country and that consumers and their children should not eat them.

There have been no illnesses associated with the recall.

The CFIA says that if an infant or child has been fed the products, they should be monitored for symptoms of illness. It says eating the products could cause upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which could lead to the recall of other products.
