Taylor Swift celebrated her "best birthday" ever with close friends.
The singer turned 24 on Friday and shared pictures with her party guests - including fellow star Lorde - after holding a Melbourne garden party to mark the occasion.
She wrote on Instagram: "The best birthday I've ever had."
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker - who was wearing a red and blue floral dress - was surrounded by her friends in the photographs and took to the social networking site to thank her fans for their "birthday wishes".
She added: "My 24th birthday was a Melbourne garden party. Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!"
Although Lorde was spotted at the bash, the Taylor has several other celebrity friendships, and in the past Ellie Goulding has revealed the bond they share.
She recently said: "Me and Taylor are similar in that we write about relationships. We text and sometimes I only have to say one thing, and even if it's cryptic she gets it.
"She's an inspiration to me because she reinstated how honest you can be about a boy in your music.
"I thought maybe I should stop being so explicit at one point, then I slapped myself out of that. I'm always going to write about people."
