A trio of tiny Toronto-area dancers are relishing the limelight after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week.

“It was really fun!” Naima Phillips, one of the members of the troupe, told CTV News Channel on Thursday. “But at the same time, it felt like it wasn’t real.”

In early February, a tribute video was posted on YouTube of the girls dancing in Ellen-esque sweater vests. It seems fan feelings were mutual, leading to an invitation for the girls to perform the routine Tuesday, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which is filmed in Burbank, California.

“It was almost like a dream come true!” Ajanae Stephenson, one of the dancers, added.

“It didn’t feel real,” Khiyla Westcott-Schram said.

“She made you feel comfortable and not awkward,” Phillips said of the daytime talk show star. “Like, she’s really fun!”
