1. Senate expense scandal: The RCMP has provided more details of the 31 charges against suspended senator Mike Duffy in new court filings. The Mounties allege that Duffy filed five "inappropriate" expense claims associated with attending funerals. 3. Calgary stabbings: Matthew de Grood, who has been charged with fatally stabbing five young people at a Calgary house party in April, is due in court to enter a plea. De Grood, the 22-year-old son of a veteran police officer, underwent a psychiatric assessment and was declared fit to stand trial.

4. Underground racing: Video uploaded to YouTube shows a mystery motorcyclist streaking through Carleton University's subterranean tunnels. Campus security told CTV Ottawa they are surprised the incident wasn't reported, but charges could be pending if the stunt rider is identified.

5. TIFF details: Organizers of the Toronto International Film Festival are expected to announce more details about this year's movies and celebrity guests at a news conference Tuesday morning. The festival runs from Sept. 5 to 11.
