A woman in Port Orange, Fla., was arrested earlier this week in the violent assault and robbery of her 84-year-old grandmother. While the allegations are shocking enough, her latest mug shot -- along with 10 other mug shots taken over a span of less than two years -- shows the woman's startling decline.

Matzke remains in custody following her arrest Tuesday.

Police allege she broke into the bedroom of her grandmother's luxury apartment, along with her husband, 26-year-old Alex Caldwell. They say Matzke's grandmother was attacked, her wrists twisted and a phone thrown at her after she said she had no cash to give. Caldwell is accused of doing nothing to stop the attack.

The pair are accused of fleeing the apartment with around US$1,900 in jewelry and a cellphone. They were arrested a few hours later at a gas station in South Daytona.

Matzke and Caldwell are each charged with burglary with assault/battery, battery on a person 65 years or older, false imprisonment, grand theft, intimidating or threatening a witness, and possession of methamphetamine. None of the allegations have been proven in a court of law.
