SEDALIA, Colo. -- Britain's Prince Harry charmed dozens of dignitaries, British expatriates and students and military officers at a cocktail party welcoming him to Colorado on Friday.

The prince also joined the crowd in celebrating the 18th birthday of Olympic swimmer and guest Missy Franklin.

He went table-to-table at the party at a golf club south of Denver for about an hour. He asked Franklin for a rundown of her medals while he took some ribbing about his female fans from U.S. Reps. Cory Gardner and Mike Coffman. He even stopped to talk to members of the band, including two young women who admitted they were too overwhelmed to really carry on a conversation.

Harry is in Colorado to attend the Warrior Games this weekend. More than 200 wounded servicemen and women from the U.S. and Britain will participate.
