Winnipeg firefighters were called to the scene of a serious blaze early Monday morning in North Point Douglas. Just after five a.m., several WFPS units battled heavy billowing smoke and flames on Sutherland Avenue. A sign on the property showed the lot as a part of Mother Earth Recycling. As of six a.m., traffic on Sutherland Avenue was closed from Main Street to Maple Street. CTV News has reached out to the city for more information.
