The City of Winnipeg has installed a new railroad crossing information system to help drivers avoid train delays. Roadside “TRAINFO” beacons and digital message boards will now flash in advance of rail crossings to help drivers decided whether to re-route or wait the train out. They are placed at high-traffic locations including: The city said digital message boards will be installed on Sterling Lyon and Kenaston Boulevards. The system will also allow Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews to see crossing information from dashboards.
