Tornado warnings, thunderstorm watches end in Manitoba

Tornado warnings previously issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for the RM of Macdonald and the RM of Morris have now ended.

The warnings, which ended at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Monday, said meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado over Osborne - just west of Ste. Agathe -- moving southeast at 25 km/h.

Severe thunderstorm watches for Winnipeg, as well as parts of southern Manitoba and the Interlake region have also ended.

The watches indicated that a trough of low pressure was triggering isolated to scattered thunderstorms.
