It’s going to be a stormy start to the week for parts of Manitoba. On Monday morning, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a severe thunderstorm watch for several local communities, including Berens River, Gillam, Cross Lake and Thompson. According to the weather agency, conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could bring heavy rain, large hail and strong wind gusts. The stormy weather is expected to begin Monday night and continue overnight into Tuesday. ECCC warns that stormy weather can lead to flash flooding, injury, as well as damage to trees, buildings and vehicles.
