Spin 4 Kids helps raise donations to fight childhood obesity

Five fitness centres in Winnipeg combined to take part in a spin-a-thon on Saturday in support of the GoodLife Kids Foundation, a charity that helps fight child obesity.

Teams from all five locations gathered at the Kenaston GoodLife centre to exercise on stationary bicycles as fast as they could pedal in an event called Spin 4 Kids.

Donations were also gathered through a Zumba and BodyJam dance party that took place during the event.

More than 600 bikes took part at GoodLife locations across Canada. The goal was to raise $500,000 nationally for organizations that help kids get active.
