Police investigate sixth homicide of the year in Saskatoon

Police are investigating Saskatoon’s sixth homicide of the year after a man died in hospital.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of 22nd Street West around 10:54 p.m. on April 24 for a report of an injured person, the Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release Sunday.

When police arrived, they found a 55-year-old man who was unresponsive. He was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services West, where he later died on April 25.

The SPS major crime section, along with the forensic identification section, are continuing to investigate.

Police have not released any further details at this time.
