Winnipeg police are searching for a suspect after someone allegedly set a fire at a restaurant in order to skip out on the bill. The incident occurred on the evening of Nov. 20 at Santa Lucia Pizza on St. Mary’s Road, near the Marion Street intersection. Investigators say five adults (two women, three men) ordered food and alcohol, but when the bill came, someone set a fire inside, and the group ran from the area. Police say the damage was significant, but the fire was put out before emergency crews arrived. No injuries were reported. Investigators are now looking to speak to a female suspect. She’s described as 20 to 30 years old with curly red-brown hair and a tattoo on her chest. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
