New online tool launched to report fraud in Canada

The increase in online marketing and distribution of stocks and other securities is creating more potential for fraud and new challenges for regulators, says a new report.

A new online tool has been launched for Canadians to report suspected frauds and schemes.

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and the RCMP announced a website allowing people to report suspected cybercrime and fraud.

The tool, which is available across Canada, can be used to submit screenshots, receipts or messages received, and connect victims of fraud with support.

All tips are received by the National Cybercrime Coordination Centre and the RCMP.
