Snowy conditions prompt more school closures in Manitoba

As Manitobans deal with a wallop of wintry weather, some school divisions have made the decision to cancel classes on Thursday.

The following schools are closed and buses are cancelled on Feb. 19, 2026:

• Division scolaire franco-manitobaine – École Saint-Lazare is closed. Buses are cancelled for École Aurèle Lemoine, École Jours de Plaine, École régionale Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, École Gilbert-Rosset, École La Source and École Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
• Prairie Rose School Division – Buses are cancelled in all regions. Hutterian Colony School sites are closed while community schools are open.
• Brandon School Division – Buses are not running outside the city but will be running within Brandon. Alexander, O’Kelly and Spring Valley Schools are closed. All other schools are open. Attendance is at parental discretion where travel is required.
• Rolling River School Division – Buses are cancelled and colony schools are closed. All other schools are open.
• Turtle Mountain School Division – Buses and classes are cancelled.
• Fort La Bosse School Division – All schools are closed.
• Southwest Horizon School Division – Buses and classes are cancelled.
• Lakeshore School Division – All schools are closed.
