A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a homicide at a Weston neighbourhood apartment complex earlier this month. On Christmas morning, Manitoba First Nations Police arrested Christian Meeches in Long Plains First Nation. He was transported to Winnipeg and charged with second-degree murder. On Dec. 20, Winnipeg officers were called to the 300 block of Blake Street at around 2 p.m. and found a man who had died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Christopher Sean Brown. Meeches remains in custody, and the charges have not been proven in court.
