Large areas of dense fog continue across southern Manitoba

Foggy conditions across southern Manitoba, which are expected to clear up on Friday morning, will likely return by night.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a yellow advisory – fog for several Manitoba communities, including Brandon, Steinbach and Winkler, on Friday morning.

The weather agency notes that light winds, humid conditions and clear skies have created large areas of dense fog.

ECCC adds that though the fog will slowly lift throughout the morning, widespread fog is expected again on Friday night.

Manitobans are warned that visibility will likely be reduced at times. If driving, you should turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles.
