A Winnipeg market is going viral with a video highlighting its local strawberries. Earlier in the week, St-Léon Gardens posted a social media video showing former employee Mikael Beaudry dancing around the market in an effort to spotlight the market’s fresh, local strawberries. Since it has gone public, the video has garnered 137,000 views and over 4,100 likes. Colin Rémillard, co-owner of St-Léon Gardens, said he thinks it was Beaudry’s commitment to the dance that’s made the video such a success. “I think we don’t see a lot of videos out there where people fully commit, fully are willing to embarrass themselves, fully willing to just go 100 per cent,” Rémillard said. “It’s very inspiring, it’s very fun and it’s heartwarming to see.” Beaudry said the happiness in the video reflects the joy of St-Léon Gardens. He added he hopes to keep showing off his moves whether its in more videos for the market or through his own account.
