Sunshine has returned to Winnipeg and southeastern Manitoba on Tuesday, though it won’t last long. Not to put a damper on your day, but clouds were encroaching on Brandon and neighbouring areas in the southwest by midday and will likely spread to the southeast by late afternoon or early evening. Rain is clipping the southwest corner, including Melita and Deloraine, early Tuesday afternoon. The precipitation is on the leading eastern edge of rain crossing southeastern Saskatchewan. Temperatures in Winnipeg and the southeast are forecast to reach seasonal highs around 24 C Tuesday. Daytime highs in Brandon, Dauphin and the southwest will remain slightly cooler in the low 20s. Persistent rain and showers will continue Tuesday over northeastern and north-central parts of the province, thanks to upper and surface lows over Hudson Bay. Thompson will only reach around 12 C in rain showers, while Flin Flon and The Pas will enjoy some sunshine and highs closer to 20 C. To the east, conditions are mixed in northwestern Ontario. Light rain early Tuesday afternoon in Kenora won’t last, yet there is a low chance of showers across the region throughout the day, with afternoon highs in the upper teens and low 20s. There is the possibility of showers for parts of southern Manitoba, including Brandon and Winnipeg, and areas further south, late Tuesday night and on Wednesday.
