Christmas Cheer Board in need of volunteers

The Christmas Cheer Board is putting out a call for help to make sure no family is left behind. CTV’s Jon Hendricks reports.

With Christmas just over a week away, Winnipeg’s Christmas Cheer Board is still looking for helpers to spread some holiday cheer.

In a statement, the Cheer Board said it still has more than 5,000 hampers in its warehouse waiting to be delivered to families in need.

The organization is asking anyone with a vehicle and some spare time to come by the warehouse at 133 Paramount Rd. to help with deliveries.

There is no need to call ahead or register. You can just come down to the warehouse, and the Cheer Board will send you with three to five hampers to drop off.

The warehouse hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
