The Brandon-Westman Christmas Cheer Board is limiting the number of hampers it’s putting together this holiday season. According to the organization, the board decided to build a maximum of 1,200 hampers this year due to volunteer capability and storage capacity. The board added that last year it put together 1,714 hampers. This included 1,325 hampers filled at the registry workshop and 389 filled by community adopters. This season, the cheer board is putting out a public plea for increased community adopters to meet its anticipated need of 500 adopted families. Community adopters are businesses, organizations and individuals who “adopt” a family and provide them with a hamper that matches their registry. Those interested can learn more about it online.
