The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) is asking for the public to be on the lookout for a medical response bag that was stolen from an emergency call earlier Tuesday. The WFPS said the bag contained medications that may be dangerous or fatal if taken without medical supervision. None of the medications in the bag contained narcotics. “Most of the medications in the kit are used to provide symptomatic relief, and some are used during patient resuscitation efforts,” a release from WFPS reads, adding most of the medications are administered intravenously and packaged in vials. The theft has been reported to the Winnipeg Police Service. Anyone with information about the location of the bag or the medications is asked to call police at 204-986-6222.
