The air had improved from an orange warning, but Environment Canada said smoke was still causing or expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility. Localized poor air quality due to wildfires is expected to improve through Sunday morning. At 9 a.m., the air quality index was at 4-6 for in the region, which is a moderate risk level.
