Windsor-Detroit tunnel closed, lane restrictions on Ambassador Bridge Sunday

The Windsor-Detroit Tunnel will be closed on Sunday, and the Ambassador Bridge will have lane restrictions as the Detroit Free Press Marathon takes place.

The tunnel will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. as thousands gather for the event.

“We’re proud to host this incredible race that showcases the deep connection between Windsor and Detroit,” said Tal Czudner, CEO of Windsor Detroit Borderlink Limited.

“It’s a celebration of community, endurance, and international friendship.”

The tunnel will also serve as one of five cheer zones in Windsor.

On the Ambassador Bridge, drivers can expect lane restrictions from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Access will remain for both directions during the marathon.
