US$35,000 seized at Ambassador Bridge

Canada Border Services Agency officers seized a large amount of cash and money orders at the Ambassador Bridge.

Almost US$35,000 was seized at the Windsor-Detroit border crossing on March 2.

CBSA officials said over $25,300 was cash, and over $9,200 was money orders.

It was seized as suspected proceeds of crime, with no terms of release.

CBSA is reminding travellers that currency over $10,000 must be declared.
