Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island (TWEPI) is looking for opinions from residents on tourism. It has launched a Resident Sentiment Survey, which will allow you to give input on perceptions, attitudes, and experiences related to tourism. “Tourism is an important part of our region’s economy and contributes to the vibrancy of our communities, but it’s equally important that we understand how the people who live here feel about its impact,” said Gordon Orr, CEO of TWEPI and Invest WindsorEssex. “We’re excited to see the results of this survey and hear directly from residents across Windsor Essex County and Pelee Island. Their feedback will provide valuable insight into where opportunities exist, and how we can continue to grow tourism in a way that benefits our visitors, our businesses, and, most importantly, the communities we call home.” TWEPI says the area has around 5.17 million visitors annually, makes $816 million in visitor spending, and supports more than 11,200 jobs across the region. You are encouraged to participate in the survey. The results will help the tourism industry understand resident perspectives and help decide how tourism is planned, developed, managed, and promoted. The survey is open until Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m.
