South Simcoe Police have laid charges against a man in relation to a break and enter incident in Innisfil over the summer. Police say between June 1 and July 18, the suspected attended a property in Innisfil on multiple occasions. According to police, the accused stole a lockbox from the propety containing a key to a home. A weeks long investigation led police to a known offender. He was arrested on Thursday and now faces charges of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000) and two counts of breaking and entering (at a non-residence). Police say the accused has a history of violence-related matters.
