Tecumseh man wins $50,000 Ontario 49 draw

A Tecumseh man has won $50,000 on an Ontario 49 draw.

Marc M. won the second prize in the Oct. 8, 2025 draw. The retiree says he has been playing the lottery for the last 30 years.

“I found out I had a winning ticket the morning after the draw,” he said.

“When I checked my numbers on OLG.ca, I was in shock. Then the realization hit me… I won $50,000!”

Marc shared the news with his wife right away, saying she was very happy and excited.

“I just retired a few months ago, so this win couldn’t have come at a better time,” he said.

He plans to do some home repairs and treat himself to a new set of golf clubs with the winnings.

The ticket was bought at Allen’s Supermarket on Walker Road in McGregor.
