The ponds will help reduce flooding in and around Manning Road and facilitate construction of 6,000 new homes. “We’ve been very fortunate to have a great partner in the province who see the needs and a requirement and understand that with the type of growth that huge billion-dollar investments bring, it brings people in the area,” said Gary McNamara, mayor of Tecumseh. “So, all of those are pieces of the puzzle, as I stated earlier, that need to be completed that need to be completed.”
