Suspects sought after vehicle window-smashing spree in west end

Windsor police are asking for the public’s help to identify three suspects who went on a window-smashing spree of over 30 vehicles in the city’s west end.

Officers responded to reports of several vehicles being damaged shortly after 2 a.m. on Sept. 25.

Through investigation, officers found that the windows of over 30 vehicles had been smashed. Police say several of the vehicles also had their contents stolen.

The damaged vehicles were located in the following locations:

• 300 and 400 blocks of Askin Avenue
• 3100 block of Sandwich Street
• 3000 block of Alexander Avenue
• 3100, 3300, 3400 and 3600 blocks of Peter Street
• 3400 block of Baby Street
• 3500 block of Bloomfield Road
• 3500 block of Queen Street
• 3500 and 3600 blocks of King Street.

Officers have obtained surveillance footage showing three suspects wanted in connection with this incident.

Here are the suspect descriptions:

• The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall. At the time of the incident, he wore a black and grey hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
• The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall. At the time of the incident, he wore a black puffer jacket, black and orange shoes, and a black balaclava.
• The third suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall. At the time of the incident, he wore a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a multi-coloured hat.

Investigators ask residents and business owners within the aforementioned areas to check their dash-cam or surveillance footage between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 25 for evidence related to this case.
