Six people displaced after $500,000 house fire

House engulfed in flames and the the aftermath on Staley Street.

Windsor Fire and Rescue crews quickly battled a morning fire on Stanley Street.

Crews responded to the blaze in the 1200 block of Stanley just after 4 a.m. on Saturday.

The home was heavily engulfed in flames, however, crews were able to quickly put the fire out.

Investigators at the scene say the cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was home at the time of the blaze, and no one was injured.

One adult and five children have been displaced.

Fire damage is estimated at $500,000 including radiant heat damage to neighbouring homes.

The public should avoid the area if possible.
