Kingsville has officially welcomed 13 firefighters to its fire department in a badge pinning ceremony Thursday. The ceremony recognizes recruits that have finished their one-year probation period. “Many people are surprised to learn just how much training is required to become a volunteer firefighter in Kingsville,” said Fire Chief Scott Moore. “Our recruits complete more than 200 hours of online and in-class training, preparing them to respond to a wide range of emergencies.” The firefighters officially welcomed onto the team were: “The Town of Kingsville thanks these individuals for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to keeping our community safe,” said John Norton, the town’s Chief Administrative Officer.
