Fog advisory in effect with showers on the way in Windsor-Essex

Windsor-Essex is heading into a stretch of mild but unsettled weather, with fog, drizzle and periods of rain expected to dominate the coming days, according to Environment Canada.

There is a fog advisory in effect with near zero visibility expected Wednesday morning.

Travel will likely be hazardous in some locations and visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.

Today will remain mainly cloudy, with early fog patches gradually lifting as temperatures rise to a high of 8 C. The cloud cover sticks around tonight, and there’s a 40 per cent chance of drizzle developing overnight. Fog is expected to return this evening, with temperatures dipping to 2 C.

The normal high for this time of year is around 4 C and the low is around -4 C.
