Chatham-Kent-Leamington MP named to House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food

Chatham-Kent-Leamington Member of Parliament, David Epp, has been appointed to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.

According to a news release, he brings decades of hands-on experience and leadership in agriculture to the role. Epp said he will advocate for Canadian farmers, food processors, and rural communities.

“Agriculture and the agri-food value chain have always been my passion,” said Epp.

“From being a producer to serving on agricultural and agri-food-related organizations and engaging with stakeholders across the entire sector – from before the field to the consumer’s fork, it’s part of my DNA.”

The committee reviews federal policies, programs, and legislation related to agriculture, voicing concerns for food producers in the country to the federal government.
