Annual Ford Fireworks to return to Windsor-Detroit skyline June 22

Date announced for the annual Ford Fireworks night on the Detroit River.

The date for the annual Ford Fireworks has been announced.

The fireworks will light up the sky over the Detroit River on Monday, June 22.

The Parade Company and Ford Motor Co. partner to stage one of the United States’ most prominent fireworks displays.

The theme for this year’s show is “Detroit! Go For Launch!”

Now in its 68th year, the display is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of spectators to downtown Detroit and downtown Windsor.

The Parade Company selects the musical arrangement and works with Zambelli Fireworks to produce the show, which features more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects visible along the Detroit River.

Last year’s show began at 10:08 p.m. and lasted about 24 minutes.
