Alleged stunt driver caught going almost double speed limit in LaSalle

LaSalle police have charged a 26-year-old Windsor man after police say he was going almost double the speed limit.

An officer conducting traffic enforcement on Front Road stopped a vehicle that was travelling 94 kilometres per hour in a posted 50 km/hr zone on Sunday evening, shortly before 8 p.m.

The driver was charged with the offence of stunt driving. His driver licence was suspended for 30 days, his vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and he’ll appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
