$15,000 in drugs seized from magic mushroom dispensary

Fun Guyz Windsor has been raided again, resulting in a $15,000 seizure.

Windsor police has seized $15,000 in illegal drugs after a raid at a psilocybin dispensary downtown.

Just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit executed the search warrant in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue at the dispensary, known as ‘Fun Guyz’.

The items seized included:

• 84 packages of psilocybin-infused gummies
• 51 bottles of psilocybin capsules
• 69 psilocybin-infused chocolate bars
• 112 packages of dried psilocybin
• Two packages of candy freeze-dried psilocybin
• Two psilocybin vape cartridges
• $2,900 in Canadian money
• $100 in U.S. money

The total value was $15,740.

A 52-year-old employee on scene was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.

Health Canada warns that taking magic mushrooms can make people “see, hear, or feel things that are not there, or to experience anxiety, fear, nausea, and muscle twitches accompanied by increased heart rate and blood pressure.”

The investigation is ongoing.
