Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a senior was allegedly attacked in Kitsilano late last month. The Vancouver Police Department said officers were called to the area of West Broadway and Macdonald Street on July 31 after a 73-year-old man was assaulted by an unidentified man. “Investigators believe the suspect was yelling at passersby when the victim approached him and asked him to stop yelling and move along,” the VPD said in a statement on Monday. “The two men became involved in a verbal altercation, during which the suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground. The victim suffered head injuries as a result of the assault.” Police released a photo of the suspect in hopes someone will recognize him. He is described as a white man with a medium build, who was shirtless at the time of the assault. Authorities added that he was wearing grey shorts and white shoes. Police are urging anyone who recognizes him to call investigators at 604-717-3321.
