Crisp, cool air with a sunny sky will kick-start the weekend in Simcoe County. Barrie residents and visitors woke up to a chilly Saturday morning with the temperature reading just above 0 C, according to Environment Canada. You’ll want your jacket, gloves and scarf throughout the weekend as the cool mornings and evenings of fall begin to take over. The sun will warm things up a little bit as we reach a high of 9 C. It will feel a little windy with gusts moving from between 20 to 40 kilometres per hour. You may want an extra blanket on the bed as the temperature will drop to 3 C Saturday night. Waking up Sunday morning will be cool once again, but another dry and sunny day with clouds mixed in and high of 15 C. Environment Canada says Sunday will see a UV index of 4 or moderate.
